Sub-Zero and Wolf are the pairing these kitchens were designed around, one company building for cold and the other for heat, and where you find one you generally find the other across the room. Viking turns up as the professional range that has been cooking since the kitchen was new, and often as the refrigeration beside it. Thermador arrives with the most electronics of the four and the habit of naming a component on the display before anyone has tested it. Different equipment, one principle: all of it is built into cabinetry, and all of it is diagnosed there.
Properties out here rarely hold this equipment in one building. There is the built-in in the house, and then a freezer in the garage or the barn, an undercounter refrigerator in an outdoor kitchen, a wine cabinet in a room nobody conditions. Those units live in conditions the manufacturer never assumed and they age faster for it. If there is a second one on the property, mention it when you book, because a return trip out here is a morning rather than twenty minutes.
